I’ve always believed people deserve more than a passing glance — they deserve to be seen.
My name is Deidra McNish-Brown. I’m a nurse. I’m an artist. And I’m the founder of D’s Delights.
I started making jewelry in 2020 during one of the hardest years I’ve ever lived through. As a full-time nurse in NYC, I was pouring everything I had into caring for others. But in the quiet moments, I needed something that helped me reconnect to myself. So I started creating — simple pieces, strung by hand on my bedroom floor in East Flatbush.
When I gave them to friends and coworkers, something shifted. People weren’t just complimenting the pieces; they were saying things like:
“This makes me feel understood and appreciated.”
“It feels like it was made for me.”
And that’s when I realized what D’s Delights could become: not just jewelry, but a way for people to feel seen.
I’m a first-generation Jamaican-American. I grew up in Brooklyn but spent summers in Jamaica, surrounded by family, music, nature, and expression that didn’t need permission. That mix of culture, beauty, strength, and softness lives in every piece I make.
This brand is personal. But it’s for everyone.
