What It Means to Embrace Yourself - Flaws, Strengths, and All

What It Means to Embrace Yourself - Flaws, Strengths, and All

You are not made to be simplified. There is beauty in your complexity -- in the way you carry joy and pain, courage and vulnerability, softness and strength, all in the same breath. That's the spirit behind the Embrace Collection: a celebration of the wholeness within you, and a gentle invitation to honor every shade of your story.

It all started with the Tibetan agate beads. I looked at the combination of black and white, black and off-white, and black and cream with their different patterns, and I immediately thought a hug -- an embrace. That embrace, an acceptance.

While the patterns on the beads evoked thoughts of embracing, the colors were neutral. My next thought was that we are not neutral, blending in and keeping it mellow. There are layers to us. We are bold. We are complex. We are special. We are unapologetically who we are. We deserve to be seen and feel seen. To capture and celebrate this, I incorporated vibrant semiprecious gemstone beads and stylish accents and spacers.

The combination of materials in each design was specifically chosen to create a unique expression of the complexity of our lived experiences. Each piece honors and celebrates our uniqueness -- the struggles we've faced, the challenges we've overcome, the losses we've experienced, the memories we hold dear, the good times we've shared with loved ones, and our dreams of great things to come.

When you explore the pieces in the Embrace Collection, I want you to remember and reflect on your personal story. Don't be embarrassed, don't minimize your experiences. Remember that everything you have been through has made you the special person you are today. No one is perfect, and as I say -- the beauty is in the imperfections.

Honor who you are. Celebrate who you are. Live your life to the fullest!

Here's to being seen (and shining while you do).
